Political was separate from other dimensions of life. The true art of the statesman and the politician. Establish the superiority of it over all the other arts. Plato taught political society as a coherent, inter connected bowl. Before this, they focused on the qualities required for a ruler and a citizen. Plato conceptualized political procedures and institutions, a system dependent on the performance of tasks (political theory). All members had a necessary function, defined by their contribution to the sustaining of societies. Have to find the place of the individual in political society. The system was not to be separate from morality, based on good values. The range of political phenomenon was to be taken as fully comprehensible, malleable to human action (able to influence society and politics). Political order/society shaped by recognizable inner truth. Thought and idea were the most important, formed political thought. Role and place of people, indicated good and evil in society.
