Some people hold back their marriage age due to school, choices, religion, etc . The expectations of adolescence is being able to drive, etc . No, some cultures still haven"t accepted it yet. Our brains didn"t change from 50years ago, we just follow the same trend. Ww2 when they entered adulthood, they looked forward to being grown-ups. Usa has a younger age of emerging adulthood. Live on their own to make their own decisions. Believed that if you emerge into adulthood, you are expected to be like that for the rest of your life. Countries like japan have longer stages of emerging adulthood. Don"t go on vacations and have nice houses, they just try to establish themselves. They don"t wanna grow up even though they know they will have to change. They kept postponing, so when they left, the kids grew up on their own - independency. Italians ten to remain at home until marriage, or even after marriage.
