How well siblings get along: varies greatly from one family to the next. Is often fairly consistent those who get along well in childhood usually get along well in adolescence. Some factors affecting sibling relationships: sex, age, how parents treat children, how parents treat each other. Adopted children are similar to those in their biological homes in terms of: temperament, mother-infant attachment, self-esteem, cognitive development.
