Once you start elaborating, you start to remember your elaboration then what really happened. Encoding: putting things in memory, the research focus is on attentional and or processing limits. Storage: knowledge representation: semantics, concept and categories, now: memories for procedures, facts, events. Retrieval: act of remembering things: recalling things, such as retrieving a list of memories, using information that was stored things, just basic facts. Formed in concepts and categorizes: episodic- events. Operate according to different laws and principles.
