Psychometrics is the science of measuring psychological phenomena. Personality consists of patterns of cognitions, emotions and behaviours that remain relatively stable across time and situations. Personality includes human nature, individual differences and individual uniqueness and is thereby a synthesis of the human psychological system in which foundations are biological, psychological, social and cultural. In the nile rivers video, his very face showed joy, and showed how his personality was based around music. Psychology studies emotions, cognitions and behaviours, but personality assessment has patterns that are relatively stable. If you look at depression as a feeling, it is considered a state. When you look at it from a trait, then it is when is occurring more often. Everyone has the same traits, but they come out more often in certain people than others. People who are depressed in general will have trait depression, and take longer to recover from state depression.
