We also have begun to talk like this in everyday language. Information processing accounts : information encoding/ decoding input. The brain takes in information and processes it to help you understand what you are experiencing. Ex: light hitting the retina: information processing and transformation based on some set of rules. Ex: hearing what do you want to eat processed based on english grammar: information transmission output. Ex: mental state or image or putting a plan into action.
