Psy3171- february 2, 2018- anxiety disorders: midterm is next class- it covers chapters 1-5, doesn"t include ptsd or ocd disorders, 40 items worth 15%- not taken by csl full class period to complete it. It is important to have some kind of idea of research methods so make better decisions for yourself or loved ones. Anxiety disorders objectives: tell the differences between anxiety, fear and panic, they are not the same, appreciate the complexity of these disorder- how different factors like biological/psychological etc affect them, know the signs for these disorders. Anxiety: mood state characterized my marked negative effect, symptoms of tension, person apprehensively anticipates future danger(important***, may be expressed as unease, worried behaviour, and or physiological responses (increased blood pressure etc) It is when it becomes excessively out of control that it becomes a problem as it interferes with our daily function. It is an immediate alarm reaction to a dangerous or life threatening situation.
