Description
Behavioural disorders • 3.5 years old most aggressive point in life span • Even in kids who are referred we see a general decline • As they get older they are more likely to hang out with other kids who get in trouble if they were referred  younger • More common in boys in childhood o As they approach adolescents gender gap lessens • ADHD used to be in the same category has these but now is moved in DSM 5 Oppositional Defiant Disorder • Every day, all times • Mood based ODD = more internalizing problems • More deviant based ODD = more externalizing problem • At least 6 months • Not well liked with parents, teachers, peers • Untreated ADHD leads to untreated ODD leads to untreated CD leads to APD as adult o Can lead, doesn’t happen with all kids • 4 factor model o All 4 must be present for ODD to develop o Difficulty with child temperament  Sensitive  Easily irritated  Moody o Parental temperament  Often see it in parents as well if child as it  If they hav
