Religion is only one factor in a broader ecology. Population health looks at what makes populations healthy as opposed to what makes individuals healthy. People"s health is not simply a function of their biology or their behaviour; it is a product of or influenced by a lot more. These things are often outside of our control. People need to think beyond healthcare and individual health behaviour in order to widen their view on health. Factors that influence one person can also influence other people. Social determinants of health: the circumstances in which people are born, grow up, live, work, and age, and the systems put in place to deal with illness. These circumstances are in turn shaped by a wider set of forces: economics, social policies, and politics. The commission takes a holistic view of social determinants of health. In some countries, this is much more evident. This is also true between countries and not just within them.
