He was born in germany in 1864, in a well to do family, his father was also max weber, his mother was from a very healthy family of huguenot origins: protestant sec in france. Max weber was a very well- educated man, who attended a gymnasium, where you learn latin, hebrew. Many famous politicians visited his house (because of his father) He studied officially law, he also studied economics, history, and philosophy. He was a member of the student corporation, many of the german student cooperation"s included the duty of fighting another student with a sword (cut means, you have showed courage and it is honorable to have a cut) After his studies he wanted to work for a big company as a lawyer, not getting that he decided to become a university professor.
