Our focus is always only partial (we are constantly thinking about our cell phones/ messages/noti cations in the back of our minds). We are all users of technology and have all bene ted from technology. There are all sorts of different factors to be considered when thinking of how a person sees the world (religion, heritage, personal experiences, etc). The issue is that there"s nothing particularly real" about someone"s social reality; at the heart of this concept, there is no true or pure reality. Reality is essentially something that we imagine and create, and we do that differently according to a multitude of different factors. We cannot really measure social realities, because we all see it differently; there is no ultimate reality. There is nothing natural, xed, or unchangeable in our social reality; we negotiate our reality. Conspicuous consumption things that we buy because we want other people to see us with them.
