As we enter into the post-modern phase we enter into a hyper-real world (a world that has lost the real) Post modernity is defined by us losing contact with the real: we are left with a continued fascination of its disappearance. We e(cid:454)perie(cid:374)(cid:272)e the (cid:862)death of the real(cid:863) a(cid:374)d live i(cid:374) the age of (cid:862)h(cid:455)per-realit(cid:455)(cid:863: we immerse ourselves into this realm of hyper-reality, baudrillard points us to reality games and places such as disneyland because they blur. Post-modern society we have become reliant on models that we have lost all contact with the real the line between the real and simulation world that preceded the map. Reality has begun to imitate the model which precedes and determines the world. The post-modern condition presents to us as a reversal: we first have the simulacra or the copy (hyper-real), then we get the real thing.
