Tooth mineralizes from crown to the root: more accurate than eruption, requires x-rays (unless you have tooth buds) Deciduous: begins prenatally, last 2-3 years. Emergence of tooth relative to alveolus, gum or occlusal plane. After root forms, fully erupted by the time root is complete.
