Function is to block d2 receptors (dopamine 2), histamine, also many receptors. Acetylcholine - binds to muscarine and nicotine receptors. Flexible molecule so it can change shape and fit in both receptors. Avoid side effect in other parts of the body. Isoproterenol - old drug, a beta-agonist, blocks beta noranogernic receptors, excite in the lungs and do not affect heart, taken as inhalers. Atropine - used in eye examinations, have to bring dark glasses, pupil expand enormously, also works all over the body that"s why apply only on the eyes. Anti-tumor drugs - applied i. a, injected in artery, so tumor gets large dose of drug, drug is diluted slowly in the body.
