Document Summary

Among other things, stochastic models can describe population dynamics more realistically. The black-throated blue warbler (dendroica caerulescens) is a typical migratory songbird. Fecundity also varied over time (new hamsure graph) Ocean index is not influenced by population hence it is independant. This curve will look the same no matter the bird population. This formula cannot predict natural disasters but something beyond that. Do not know the carrying capacity but still calculate. Common eider ducks (somateria mollissima) occur in populations of labrador. Each of those populations figured out how likely they can become extinct. As population increases the probability of extinction decreases. It"s obvious that there is extinction, so this methodology can be used to explain it. We used a deterministic model: it does not include random variation in variables. Something random that happens in a population. Need these two variables in order to figure out how likely a species is going to be extinct.
