Due to its status as a weapon, the taser has almost no regulaion. This creates an open ield for innovaion in this product space . Taser, pepper spray and batons are forms of intermediate non-lethal weapons. Taser is almost coming into common name just like google. Inefecive use of technology in law enforcement and security has health consequences. The use of this technology requires an understanding of biology and or engineering and can open up career opportuniies. Tasers are a rare example of patent strength with a device. Tasers represent an usual case of product regulaion. Taser is not a product class but a trademark.
