Document Summary

Diagnoses of a species are the character traits, that are diagnostic of that species. In the biological literature diagnose human is a proper term. There is common decent, and a smallest distinct grouping (this is how ranks are established). The ranking system classification is done differently back then and today. Historical pattern: consider fossil record, biological studies, molecular argument (how species are related), this is all combination to compare species evolutionary. Fossil records are put away because dna cannot be extracted, so fossil data is ignored. You cannot extra data from historical molecules, because certain alleles can mask the origin of a particular trait. We still don"t know which traits have been turned off or turned on ( hox gene). In the real world, the molecular argument is based on samples through analysis sand statistics. Paleontologist has decided to analyze data with a molecular basis.
