Document Summary

Lot of information but really limited applications and do not really understand completely how much of the data can be utilized. Bioinformatics being used to compare genomes, transcriptomes: changes in transcriptomes, depending on which genes are switched on or off, taking an unknown gene and infer what it does based on what is known through other similar sequences. Systematic knockouts: knockouts possible for all non-house genes ; genes which are not required for survival, to determine what machinery is involved in the particular protein production etc. Two-hybrid analysis: to check if two proteins interact with each other. Dna hypersensitive sites: dnase will cleave genome where it isn"t packed around protein, the bits which are being transcribed, can be compared to normal cells, packed dna and transcriptome dna. Post mitotic maturation most die and very small amount of adults make it through. Each of the stages of expansion has its own protein marker expression.
