When the cell is lysed, we cannot isolate the protein of interest therefore need to purify. Veri cation: gives a reason when western blotting is used. Western blotting is important process in veri cation processing. Gh question: fusion protein from a bacteria which has a protein of interest and a gene that is unwanted. Fusion protein can be puri ed by af nity puri cation.
