It is not impossible for great activities to be formed spontaneously; but it is best to aim for. Creating involves relating two normally independent frames of references (rowe, 1987) something that has not been done before. If you understand if design is about bisociation and fun/brainstorm, it is possible to come up with new ideas. Interior designing (closed design open concept) Telescope on the roof (bisociation; using two items and combine them) At the brainstorming stage, you shouldn"t bring in your preconceived ideas and/or judgements about design. Things that stop you from going further; limitations. ie. i don"t have a million dollars to create/purchase something. Design thinking is not about science fiction. design should be backed by reason, research and feasibility.
