Full-time, continuous work for one employer, year round, usually on the employer"s premises. Grants access to benefits and social protections/model on which labour laws are based. It is being eroded right now and replaced with a different kind of work. Precarious employment: work characterized by low pay, uncertainty, limited social benefits. Outside of ser: freelance, part-time, seasonal, casual, temporary, internship, gig work, contracts. Precarity: financial, social, and existential insecurity linked to precarious forms of work/uncertainty.
