Many of you have already discovered this in writing the paper of course. As art: comics as visual narrative complexity of narrative, six steps in uc building a foundation for something more than surface. Will be used for 2nd assignment: japanese influence - a range of interesting non-action transitions directly supporting artistic storytelling. As with other media, similar battles between creators/publishers for ownership and control, fair share of profit. Many early artists behind marvel/dc had no control of characters profits passed them by. Increasing interest in maintaining fair access and compensation for talent, moving away from studio work for hire models. Pushes for the notion that the creator should get money. Creator rights require innovation in industry model - and sometimes drive it.
