The brain requires diet, exercise, sleep & a little bit of stress. Stress distracts you from your topic, you worry so much about what"s going to happen, you lose focus on what you have to do. Stress signifies a potential or actual threat that requires immediate changes in behavior as well as a modification of future behaviours. Stress occurs when ones environment is deemed to taxing or exceeds one"s resources/endangers one"s well being. If you don"t stress you don"t perform or you"re too stressed, it affects you negatively, so not too much stress you can"t handle. Sleep is important for assimilating new info into past experience to create a richer network of associations for future use, if you want to be creative, you need sleep. Grades in math, english & french were greatly associated with sleep but not in science or art.
