Document Summary

The more abstract, the easier it gets to project yourself as a reader. Peanuts was one of the inspirations for that. Intruder: very abstract, vivid character but very different way of projecting character. How he finds balance: largely by portraying the character as cartoony. The new yorker: one of the column on craiglist"s there was a section called disconnection. This idea of fleeting idea, the notion of just passing and what could have been, missed opportunity. Comic: a story that is focused on objects; as indirect as you can be. The reality: the speaker is on the way to america with his child. The flight attendant mistakes the women sitting next to the women as his women. The child who seems unaware of what is happening. Disconnect is symbolized by light bulb and the missing light bulb. Perhaps misconnection between a child and the parent who are on different page. Characters who have delusional idea about their artistic features.
