Primary activities: agriculture,gathering industries, extractive industries (even though they are at the bottom they are still important) Secondary activities: manufacturing, processing, construction, power production (value being: tertiary activities: retail and wholesale trade, personal and professional services (more value added) being added as we move along, quaternary activities: information, research, management, quinary activities: executive decision makers.
