For there to be rich people, there has to be poor people in society. What is it about a capitalist system that allows some people to become homeless but not others. Often our individual factors are tied with structural factors. Its not individuals fault, but how does this play out at the individual scale. People become homeless because of addiction problems, but people also develop addiction problems due to being homeless. Homelessness had to be the outcome of more than just people not being able to find housing. Much of this post war era- only men become homeless, known as hobo"s". Thinking about homelessness as personal problem this thinking shifted away from just focusing on personal problems. Private/public health care also causes new cases of homelessness. Our labour market in many ways has shrunk.
