Cast shadow a shadow that forms on an object that blocks the light (the sphere in front of the light source) Umbra it"s the part of the shadow where all light is blocked by the object (darkest part of cast shadow) Penumbra around the umbra where the shadow is partial, not all light in blocked by object. Highlight lightest area on sphere because its perpendicular to the light source, it"s a reflection of the light source so this part can move. Direct light this is the part directly facing the light source, it receives the most light. Core shadow light cannot reach this part, it"s the darkest part of the sphere because its least affected by reflected light.
