Political leaders) have to be able to adapt their rule to the times. If they remain the same they will be doomed. We are fortuna"s form of entertainment, she does not have total control. Sometimes she lets things play out just to see how they end up. Fortuna is not interested in the old, cautious, boring. Borgia came to power bc of good fortune. Thought that he could use his father"s power as the pope in order to reunite italy and make it great again.
