Get people to do what you want to do cause you are the boss. Get this power and get people to do something by giving them something in return. Most likely met with resistance thus want to avoid this referent power. Powerful because; represents a deep type of power, moving beyond compliance towards commitment, open to anyone in the organization (dont need fancy titles or ability to give rewards) Get people to do stuff just because they like you dont need anything else. Power because you have a special skill that an organization is relying on. Get people to follow you because you know what you are talking about. Need to figure out what situation you are exactly in and decide that best tactic from there.
