Behaviour is the ultimate judge of who you are. Aim is to construct personality to understand individual preferences in personality. First to explain how much unconscious really influence what we do. Compromise formation we have different structures of personality that constantly battling with each other; has to be a compromise. Id basic animalistic human nature that everyone is born with; completely consumed by our own pleasure. Up to age two, we start to develop the ego our sense of self. By around age 5, we develop superego (our morality) based on morality principal. Not really empirical; really just anecdotal. In the name of science, we have to be skeptical. What drives all human beings: aggresion and sex. Libido drives us towards seeking pleasure; our motivation.
