Write a short summary about last year and some of the most notable things that happened to you (good or bad): For 1000s of years emotions seen as irrational, destructive, and dysfunctional. 1) emotions serve important functions: keep us alive, we need fear to keep us safe, grammar of social living their communication is what helps us, and they communicate with each other. 2) they define who you are: character, memories, how someone"s disposition is, store important information, without mention many of our memorises become grey and dull. 3) they add colour and vividness to life. Theories of emotion through history ancient greece enlightenment. Stoicism: come form our desires, emotions = passions = desires = bad, bad rep comes from this. If you look at those negative emotions (lust, anger, anxiety), that they should be rid from society: 7 deadly sins are thought to be from here, relationality = control = reason = good.
