Document Summary

Sample questions will be posted within the next couple of days detailing the midterm: go through the diagrams! 2 or 3 will be on the midterm which will be coming directly from lecture notes. The external genitalia are the penis and the scrotum. The frenulum has numerous nerve endings one area that tends to be very much involved with arousal. The glans is the head of the penis where the foreskin is: within the glans is the urethral meatus; which allows for the release of urine and sperm. The shaft of the penis ends at the glans. Corpus cavernosum is surrounded by the tunica albuginea as well as muscles: ischiocavernosus and bulbospongiosus muscles which assist with erection and ejaculation. The scrotum sits behind the penis and contains two testicles, and is covered by sweat glands and hair: sweat glands help to regulate temperature. The epididymis is the location of sperm production; c-like structure which hugs each testicle.
