People have looked about how children are taught about fear: over time de-emphasized fear, avoid arousing fear in children, but talk about being courageous. January 18, 2018: there are tons of variation in emotions amongst cultures. Independent/individualism: more seen in western countries/colonial countries, autonomous and independent, separate entity from other things father, mother, distinct and unique, dispositions and internal causes, making internal attributions about others, stable sense of self. Interdependent/collectivism: more seen in eastern and southern america, connected to others.
