Risk and resilience: risk factor: variable that precedes a negative outcome of interest and increases the chances that the outcome will occur, typically involve acute, stressful situations, as well as chronic adversity. Affect the course of the disorder by affecting the extent to which the child"s problems are. Values, beliefs and practices that characterize a particular ethocultural group: Contribute to development and expression of children"s disorders.
