Assuming that religion is concerned with belief, you"re taking a primarily chrisian concept and making it the basis for a universal concept of what we think religion is supposed to be about. Chrisianity is dominated by protestant tradiions strong emphasis on faith. One side: person"s religion was primarily about what they do, other hand: true religion is what one thought and believed in. Religious protestant thinkers had the strongest inluences on the development of tradiions. Reducionism: objects of belief are nothing more than human construcions that can be. Reduced" to human basics: also called naturalisic approach: our understanding of deiies can only be understood in terms of the natural world that we live in. Ludwig argued that the divine being is nothing else than the human being, or the human nature puriied so god is created in our own image. Marin luther argues that cogniive science approaches quesions theoreically so, diferent from from culturally based studies of religion.
