Document Summary
The midterm will material covered in lecture and assigned for reading right up to the date of the midterm. The final examination will be cumulative and will in some manner cover material from the entire course. The midterm and examination will contain a mixture of multiple choice questions and written answers. These questions will test knowledge and understanding of both lecture material and assigned readings. Emphasis will be placed on testing student"s ability draw connections between lecture and reading material, as well as to draw connections between material from different lectures. These will be connections that were not explicitly covered in class. Emphasis will also be placed on student"s ability to apply material covered in class to novel scenarios. Students will be provided with sample questions before the midterm and final exam. Scantron questions can include any of the following: true or false questions; multiple choice questions; and matching questions.
