This did damage the traditional peoples intrests of their religion. Zoraster was against some of the warlike values that were dominant in his society. The spirits that he classifies as demons have war like characteristics. He called his disciples the poor ones this showed that his message was mostly addressed to members of the lower social groups . The gathas (songs) - religious poems with a ritual function. The gathas don"t explain everything in detail but explain the core importance of the zorasters message. Gathas are hard to understand because of the language they are written in and the style of writing. The gathas were transmitted only orally so this caused damages to the real text.
