Gender: we need to move away from binary thinking. E. g. sex male and female, gender. Look at different points of history and society and different gender representations (clothing, high heels, name choices, colors) that we associate with gender and have seen shifts over time: examples. Girls: boys chapters boys: does not have girl chapter. Girls page: has a lot more stuff on the page, it seems that a lot of things are built around friends where as its not the case of boys. Girls book content letters is pink, boys is red: research has shown that we tend to conform to gender norms. Sex: sex: the biological differences that distinguish males from females, the physical aspects of our bodies, including genitals and hormones. Intersexed (or dsd: at birth you see more than just 2 types of bodies. Intersexed: ambiguous genitalia at birth (when declaration of sex cant be made)
