Assets like real estate, bonds and investments etc: occupaional presige, years of schooling. When we talk about social class, we measure it with the 4 things in ses. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Straiicaion is persistent over ime, passed across generaions. Is class ascribed, or achieved: ascribed: the traits that you are born with. Hair color: achieved: the skills you acquired.
