Race: a social construct used to distinguish people in terms of one or more physical markers. Social construct: a idea or concept that has emerged from society. Sociologists state that race is a social construct. There is no biological component to what we think of as race. We tend to believe people with similar skin tone have similar dna, which is untrue. Many people believe iq is biologically developed, but it is not. It depends on things like: what opportunities the individual has, the social setting, how they are looked at by others; all of these things can affect iq scores; same with athletic ability.
