Industry has developed and is taking on new organizational and industrial concepts. individuals are taking on new identities and taking on new professions and social groups (management clubs, etc ) and forming identities around these organizations. class relationships are being overlooked by other social difference (no longer owner and worker) With social inequality, max was concerned with how power was distributed in a community. to answer this question we need to look at 3 social rounds. The three different social rounds are the economy, social order/culture, and social power/the political. Key associational mode power is distributed through social class, in the realm of power, power is distributed through social groups. How to look at it: in the economy, though social classes, power is determined through their market situation. Look at this chart from right to left --- market situation gets determined from class through the economy. Key associational mode is social class for the first class.
