There may be continued pay equity b/w men and women bc of gender segregation, where certain occupations are associated with femininity or masculinity. i. e. firemen and primary school teachers. House of commons i. e. in teaching, higher occupations such as principals are seen more masculine, or certain subjects such as math and science are seen as more masculine, whilst creative arts are seen as more feminine. Traditionally fewer women are in unionized jobs in terms of working class, manual labour. In the house of commons, the numbers are equivalent in men and women but during question periods, men talk more than women, talking more than double the time women do. Trudaeu came in with the promise of creating equality in the cabinet, but in practice its not necessarily true. We find differences to support the hierarchy of gender power Sex= gender?
