Studying gender and care: own experiences, strong convictions. We all have different ideas about gender: no simple answer. This course can show you what researchers have found using systematic methods. Gender is not just about individual experiences, but it also something that goes beyond just our own perceptions about gender. We may not be able to do this through personal experiences. The basic experience which you must understand and will be expected to use = sociological critique of the natural theory of caregiving. Definition: feelings of affection and responsibility combined with actions that provide responsively for a(cid:374) i(cid:374)di(cid:448)idual(cid:859)s perso(cid:374)al (cid:374)eeds or (cid:449)ell-being in a face to face to relationship. Aspects of work is changing and that changes aspect of face to face relationship. Hierarchy of needs: making sure that basic needs are met, difference between actual caregiving and the support for caregiving.
