Not just about servicing, broadly it is a concept developed by two scholars (boris & Intimacy tend to be as personal, emotional, private between romantic partners and family members-labor, contractual relationship, labor power, hours, duties and pay cheque. Personal and public sphere has a long legacy from 19th century. Female in private, intimate realm and men in public, courtroom, politics, women in charge of household and sweet home, men bring the paycheque. The idea to mix labor with intimacy is quite interesting. By having divide, these scholars argue that women outnumber by women, domestic. Intimacy is not think as labor, something you do out of good heart work is not bound by legal terms, taking care of a child, the hours are not set very much of a standard labor. Living domestic worker, somebody"s living space become somebody"s workspace, particularly intimate labor.
