Uk one incident of domestic violence is reported to the police every minute; accounted for 16% of all crime. Canada 542 per 100,000 women is the overall rate of intimate partner violence against women. Large number of incidents are not reported; statistics are largely underestimated because many people are fearful of reporting abuse.
