Border (aka panel frame): edge/outline of the comic page. Gutters: space between the panels of the comic. Open panels (aka borderless panels): panels where it shows dramatic effect. Panel (aka frame): rectangles and squares where the action is drawn. Splash panel: takes up space of several panels to highlight an action/character. Similar to splash pages, which takes up a whole page to give special attention to something specific. Reverse: in verse position from the previous panel; to show change in point of view or speaker. Bleed: runs outside the border of the panel. Full bleed is when an image runs outside on all four sides. Extreme close-ups may also exist (ex: eyes) Longshots: show images fully from top to bottom. Extreme longshot: show objects in small scales, like landscapes or characters far away. Balloons (speech bubbles): objects used that contain dialogue, when they speak. Labels: text labels written on character"s comics. Name of what identifies it as a particular group.
