History: the earliest account of measles comes from an outstanding physician of the muslim world in 910 ad, accounts summarized in a 20 volume treatise. Antc68: 1946 - peter panum described the incubation period & lifelong immunity, enders & peebles isolated the virus in humans, 1963 - first attenuated vaccine licensed in the us.
