Class # 3 REVIEW Evolution: change of gene frequency from one population to the other. - Natural selection is a non-random process; it is the environment that is selecting for particular traits. Creationism: evolution is something that doesn’t exist, and all the variation we se today is a process of God. -Natural selection: non-random process. This is good for religion is still process that can be blended with the “God creation”. Mutation -process of genetic change. -Point mutation: change in one of the bases (ATACGAT = AACGAT) changing the codon and the protein that the codon is responsible for producing. -This is a random process that produces new variation.
