Document Summary

Ecg or ekg is a very useful diagnostic tool to look at heart function and determine clinical abnormalities. It measures the spread of electrical activity from the heart across the surface of the skin with surface skin electrodes. Some possible uses are determining the electrical axis of the heart which the mean direction that the electrical activity flows across the chest. 60 degrees could be to the right or to the left. But if one side of the heart begins to grow, the electrical axis will start to swing toward one side. Ecg could be used to get the instantaneous hear rate. Arrhythmia is an abnormal rhythm od the beating of the heart. Activation sequence sorters: blockade of electrical activity coming from the atria and moving into the ventricles. There can also be a blockade of conduction through one of the branch bundles so you get one side of the heart contracting before the other side.
