Document Summary

Neurons: specialized cells, that receive input form environment, unit of brain in response to environment, receive and send information, use electrochemical signalling between stimulation synapses, electrical or chemical stimulation within neurons itself to send information, approx. Neurotransmitter and receptors act as transcription factors in specific areas. Neuronal structure: some neurotransmitters are made and packaged in the soma (cell body) and then transported to the down axon terminals where they"re released through synaptic vesicles, interaction between presynaptic and post synaptic dendrite. Nerve impulse involves open channel allow charged ion and regulate the potential of cell and drive the synaptic firing. You can have action of enzymes and regulatory elements that affect length of time the neuron transmitter stays in cleft in the post synaptic side. You have a resting potential in the cell membrane of neuron. It is a difference of charge across the bilipid layer of the membrane of neuron.
